The New York State Bridge Authority is a public benefit corporation created by the State to operate and maintain crossings of the Hudson River. The Bridge Authority's operations and related assets cover an 80-mile stretch of the river from Catskill in Greene County south to Bear Mountain where Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland counties meet. Over 50 million vehicles used Bridge Authority facilities in 1998.
