The Office of General Services (OGS) provides services to all State agencies, from furnishing office space to providing centralized services. The Office administers purchasing for State agencies, real property management, and provides supplies to State institutions. In addition, OGS is responsible for the design and construction of State facilities and is designated as a building permit agency, responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Uniform Code with respect to the buildings, premises, equipment, and activities of its client agencies. The Office also distributes federal surplus property and government-donated food directly to localities.
